College Bound: Grad Lab Readiness Program
College Bound was created for girls who know where they want to go but are not sure how to get there. The program provides the roadmap for girls to graduate high school on time and be ready for higher education. Girls will learn about how to structure their classes, time management, scholarships, financial aid options, admissions testing, creating personal statements, and how to choose a college.
Girls work closely with Girls Inc. staff and mentors to create a plan specific to them. Over half of Girls Inc. participants will be the first in their families to attend college.

Program Elements
College Bound: Grad Lab aids girls in establishing and expanding their personal and academic goals to become a competitive college applicant.
Participants will participate in interactive live group lessons twice a week, accompanied with group discussions and individual assignments.
College Bound is free of charge and designed to expose participants to the breadth of major, college, and career opportunities, regardless of circumstance.

Our Impact
51% of College Bound participants plan to declare a major in science, math, engineering, or technology. STEM programming at Girls Inc. begins in Kindergarten.
In 2022, 170 girls participated in College Bound: Grad Lab, receiving mentorship and help with college applications and personal statements.
97% of girls who participated in College Bound developed and strengthened the professional competencies needed to be competitive college applicants.
